I
was born, raised and educated in Oklahoma, graduating from the
University of Oklahoma in 1954 with a Bachelors of Business
Administration. I spent the greater part of my working career
in the Military service, both the Army and Air Force. I retired
from the Air Force, in the grade of Major, in 1976 at McChord
Air Force Base in Tacoma WA. After retirement I attended the
Watch and Clock Repair Course at the local Bates Vocational
-Technical School, a 22 month course. After that I repaired
clocks commercially until 1982 when I changed to selling clock
repair tools as the Clock Doktor. For the next 17 years or so
,Shirley and I, traveled across the USA ,in our motor home ,each
summer, attending various NAWCC Regional and National
Conventions. We have been in all of the lower 48 states, some
many times. We have met many interesting and delightful folks in
all parts of the USA, remaining friends with some and
acquaintances with others. We now only attend Regionals in
Pasadena ,CA, Mesa,AZ and the Pacific Northwest(where ever it is
held), and the National if it in convenient driving distance for
using our mini-van. I won't drive the motor home across country
any longer, Shirley doesn't drive the motor home but she does
drive the van. Since Jun of 1996 we have lived here in
Silverton, OR, moving here to be near our daughter and her
family. If you would care to visit and talk clocks or tools my
phone number is on the home page.
